Kids bedrooms- the one spot in the house that for the next umpteen years (or only maybe six for our eldest…insert scared face emoji here)it’s the closest thing our kids will get to having their own home. It’s so important that our kids’ spaces are a reflection of their personalities but truth be told, this can be a challenge. I don’t typically share my kiddos’ rooms because it seems as though they’re in a constant state of ‘almost there’ decor. Are you picking up what I’m putting down? You gather keepsakes and bedding and random pillows and somehow it never looks like it works together! It’s an art, I tell ya and not one I’ve mastered. It doesn’t help that we have to keep two of the three bedrooms’ doors closed when we’re gone because we have a little dog named Jack that likes to eat Legos and guitar picks and chew on smelly socks. So yes, maybe the smelly socks and Legos EVERYWHERE!! get in the way of the pretty. #keepingitreal Somehow the girls’ room stays fairly tidy so this is where Captain Lego Chewer gets to hang out. Enough about my me…..
I’m so excited to share the darling little girl’s bedroom of Anissa at House Seven Blog!! If you haven’t discovered all the goodness here, you’re in for a treat. Not only is Anissa duper talented but she’s the sweetest too. Her whole home has such a relaxed yet chic vibe to it. You can almost feel all the board game fun and family relaxation that goes on between these walls.
See? Casual, layered with splashes of sophistication thrown in.
Wait for it…….
Anissa managed to create a space layered in texture and COLOR! while still making the room soft and restful. I’m certain every child delights in a smiling cloud pillow!
(Find the ‘Adventure’ sign I lettered for House of Belonging here along with the others in the collection.)
I love that this room includes baskets of stuffed animals and the walls are covered in uplifting artwork. Even though this room has been completely redone, it looks “collected” and timeless rather than trendy and staged.
That adorable little dollhouse has quite the story behind it. It caught Anissa’s eye at a garage sale and the owner was waiting for just the right family to breathe new life into it. Anissa gave it a little love and look at it now!! So sweet.
